Uzbek is the official language of Uzbekistan, where the vast majority of its native speakers live. It is spoken by roughly 23 million people in at least 14 territories. There are significant numbers of speakers in the neighbouring countries of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

Territory size shows the proportion of all people who speak Uzbek as a first language that live in that territory.
